The company was formerly known as PT Perusahaan Gas Negara Tbk and changed its name to PT Perusahaan Gas Negara (Persero) Tbk in January 2026. The company was founded in 1859 and is headquartered in Jakarta, Indonesia. As of April 30, 2018, PT Perusahaan Gas Negara (Persero) Tbk operates as a subsidiary of PT Pertamina (Persero).
