MILWAUKEE--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The Manitowoc Company, Inc. (NYSE: MTW) (the “Company” or “Manitowoc”) today reported second-quarter net income of $14.2 million, or $0.39 per diluted share. Second-quarter adjusted net income(1) was $16.8 million or $0.46 per diluted share. Orders in the second quarter were $708.7 million, a 56.1% increase from the prior year, resulting in backlog of $1,050.1 million at the end of the quarter. Net sales in the second quarter were $594.9 million, an increase of 10.3%.
